Sadhana’s spirit has endured through unimaginable challenges, and we are seeking your support to help her receive the medical care she urgently needs. Your generous donation, no matter the size, will contribute to the hope and healing of this brave young soul.

Lifelong support for a 10-year-old girl who has undergone a VP shunt operation involves ongoing medical monitoring, emotional encouragement, and educational assistance. This comprehensive care approach aims to optimize her health, well-being, and development while adapting to any potential challenges associated with the VP shunt.

This procedure is done in the operating room under general anesthesia. It takes about 1 and 1/2 hours. A tube (catheter) is passed from the cavities of the head to the abdomen to drain the excess cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). A pressure valve and an anti-siphon device ensure that just the right amount of fluid is drained.

VP shunt do not work for ever. As she grows the shunt stops working: The child can have another buildup of fluid in the brain. Revision surgery is needed as and when required for her survival.

Our Goal

Our goal is to facilitate her academic success and manage the challenges associated with the VP shunt. Requesting our donors to be a lifelong supporter for Sadhana.  Financial and emotional assistance, emphasize the importance of sustained aid for her medical needs, educational requirements, and overall well-being. Your contribution will be ensuring a better quality of life for Sadhana throughout her journey with the VP shunt.
